Overview
Risk Management Services, including Accident Prevention for
the H.O.N.Y. Trust is to identify Members' loss sources and
to implement preventative measures to reduce and eliminate
those identified exposures common to the industry. Once this
is initiated periodic review of the ongoing prevention program
will be done to ensure effectiveness of the program.
Each member of the HONY Trust agrees to implement and maintain
the following Risk Management Programs:
1.Implementation Versus “Consultative “ Approach.
2. A Dedicated Service Minded Healthcare Accident Prevention
Professional.
3. Accident Prevention Programs that are specific to organization’s
loss sources.
4. Customized drafts, as needed of policy & procedure
of Workers Compensation Programs.
5.Hands on Education & Training for all levels of facility’s
employees.
6. Developed Safety Service Plan outlining goals, objectives,
accountabilities and timelines. Quarterly updates to reflect
progress and or barriers to implementation.
7. Assists in communicating current facility’s claims
frequency and severity at Safety Committee meetings.
8. Annual Assessment performed to determine status and compliance
of The S.A.F.E. Program.
9. Visibility throughout the facility.
10. Employee meetings held with employees who have Workers
Compensation Claims.
11. Implementation of the Injury Free Transfer Program, Supervisor
Accountability, Return to Work and Medical Management Programs.
Accident Prevention Staff will assist the member's facility
to develop, implement and comply with these programs.
